Not that I’m obsessed with Brooke Candy or anything (I’m obsessed with Brooke Candy) but I’ve maybe watched her new video for the song “Das Me” about 20-30 (60-70) times since it premiered on Dazed Digital the other day. In my defense (#norestrainingorder) it has three of my very favorite things in the world:
1. jiggly asses
2. insensible shoes and
3. a golden wheelchair (although to be honest I never knew that golden wheelchairs were one of my favorite things until this video told me).
My other favorite thing? When slut-shamers are told to go fuck themselves, as Miss Candy so eloquently does in her track. A sampling of the lyrics: “A slut is now a compliment/a sexy ass female who is running shit and confident”. ALSO SHE CLOSES THE VIDEO WALKING A SMALL ASIAN CHILD ON A LEASH WHAT EVEN WHO DOES THAT (I’m obsessed with Brooke Candy).

ReplyTerrible camera work! The whole thing looks handheld and it doesn’t fit the video at all. Have you ever heard of a dolly or a Steadicam? The big wide shots and the walking shots are the worst. At least the camera op could make his camera moves go with the music. Terrible.
